It was the last day at home for us after we already had a few days of school holidays. It was Wednesday and we went on a 4 Hour Drive up north again – just like last time.
On the way we went to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds were we went on a guided tour. The local Maori guide showed us all around we saw a big Waka and the house where the treaty was negotiated and the best was at the end – a real Maori show with a welcoming ceremony (which was dangerous as the Maori’s wanted to see if we want to fight them) a Haka and lot’s of singing and dancing.
At the end we got a price (Niclas, Max, me & Cecilia) as we answered out some quiz questions.
Then we went on a big drive (1 hour) we were so surprised when we arrived after a little while only.
Niclas and Max went to the car to get the bags out. The first night we slept in the room next to the room of mum and Dad, while my big bothers wer sleeping downstairs beside the garage. I got to watch TV but sadly I wasn’t allowed to watch to the end as the movie was too long.
The day after we went to the beach and we had a day on the beach while unfortunately Mum & Luke wer sick – at the beach we were building a dam at a little river and a boy with his body-board helped us to build it by putting the sand on that.
The next day we went to my friend Laura and we went to a mud field and we had to go bare-feet in the mud and then we had to go and wash my feet. Laura and I then made a play-world out of palms and plants that we called Flip Flop Wonderland.
The last full day of our holidays, Mum and Luke were finally feeling a little bit better and we went to a nice beach where we spent half the day at a really nice beach with lots of little islands in the bay where we played in the sand.
On Sunday we went back home and had a nice lunch in the flying Moa restaurant.
But before we went there I had a game and although we lost 2-0 it was a good game. After that we went back home to eat lunch – Mama made us fried eggs with bacon strips – yum.
When we where done we packed our stuff a.k.a water and yoyos (we got them on Saturday from Papa as presents from his trip to Sydney) and made our way off to one tree hill park. It was quite a long walk from our home there and back – actually it was about 12kms for all of us and additionally had been running up and down the field for an hour during my game.
When we arrived at the festival it wasn’t to packed at the start, so the girls made a paper daffodil and mum got some plants for free. When we moved on there where fairy’s but i couldn’t see what they where doing cause that area was full of people. Then we found the face paint station and the line was 20 kids long we joined in. To pass the waiting Max,Vicki and me went and played tag in the trees nearby after round about 30 minutes it was the girls and Lukes turn. My little brother got a dinosaur on his cheek, Vicki got a rainbow on her forehead and Cecilia has a fairy on her cheek. Then went all the way back to the end of Onehunga mall to go get some ice cream.
We went to our favourite ice cream shop liky liky we had a lot of delicious ice cream.
In the school holidays Mum and Mad had a break with their work so we packed our stuff and our toys to get right up to cable bay and on the first day we stayed at the holiday house and relaxed.
The next day we went to the Sand dunes, but we couldn’t ride on our Body Boards because it was to wet and it could have hurt because the Wind was so strong so the sand raced onto our feet , so we went to a light House and it was very windy, and at the bottom of the hill were the light House was standing there were some signs which told us which Direction to a few country’s and city’s.
On the third day we went to our friends Robert & Laura and they live on a Farm, they have 5 cows , 2 goats , 4 Chicken’s , 2 cats & 1 dog which is called Max. So my friend Robert had a great electronic helicopter but it wasn’t charged so we charged it but it still hasn’t worked and then I had to go home.
On the fourth day we went to a Beach which was just across the road and there were many rocks were we could climb on so at first every one was climbing on the rocks then Papa, Niclas and I started to play soccer with bare feet and that did hurt a bit.
At night time mum went into the kitchen and wanted to put the toaster away and then she saw a mouse and she started screaming!!! So we locked it into the bathroom and it stayed in there till the next people came into the house. But in the afternoon we went to Robert again and we tried the helicopter but it didn’t work so I asked Papa if he could have a look at it so he charged it for a while and then we tried it again but it still didn’t work and we tried it till we went back home but it still didn’t work.
On the last day it was Cecilia’s birthday & we went back home so we packed our stuff and started cleaning up so we went strait back home and we finally saw our birds called hansa and rostock and we couldn’t wait till we slept in our beds again.
